Kambiz Hooshmand

Biography

Kambiz Y. Hooshmand has been a member of our board of directors since July 2013. From March 2005 to May 2009, Mr. Hooshmand served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (NASDAQ: AMCC), a communications solutions company. From 1996 to 2005, Mr Hooshmand held various executive roles at Cisco Systems Inc. including Group Vice President and General Manager of Core Routing and Multi-service Carrier Platforms. Mr Hooshmand was a key innovator and leader at Stratacom Corporation, building the company’s carrier platforms into a multi hundred million dollar business. Stratacom was acquired by Cisco Systems in 1996 for over $4 billion. Since April 2011, Mr. Hooshmand has been actively engaged with mobile start-ups through his own incubator building 13 portfolio companies. Two companies have already generated very successful exits. Mr. Hooshmand is also the Chairman of the Board at Infinera (NASDAQ: INFN), a leading provider of optical systems that transport the internet traffic globally. He also served as a member of the board of directors of Power-One (NASDAQ: PWER) until July 2013 when the company was sold to ABB for more than $1 billion.
