Peter Hallberg

Biography

I am a state scientist and a PhD at Stockholm University 2003. Before I arrived in Malmö 2012, I was the holder of one of the Riksbank's Jubilee Fund ProFutura Services. My research has an idea and culture history. At present, I explore the relationship between early globalization and cosmopolitan philosophy, with particular focus on the idea development of the political, philosophical, philosophical and Renaissance era. I have recently begun a project about the city as a laboratory for political theory. I investigate how political theories, eg about participation and trust is translated into the physical urban planning. Particularly interesting in this context are the emerging "global cities" in East Asia.
