Biography
Thomas works part-time at Innovation Skåne with strategic business advice in IP and finance, but also with more general startup-related issues. Thomas is the CEO of AWA IPro, a company specializing in the commercialization of innovations for its customers. He is also an active business angel with a focus on market-based startups with strong founders. Thomas has been project manager at VINNOVA and has been responsible for investments in research, innovation and commercialization. He has experience from companies such as Ericsson, Nanoradio, Nestlé and Sumitomo. He has long experience from working with startups, both as founder, investor and board member in a number of startups and has been involved in both successful and less successful exits. Thomas's academic experience includes CERN and Chalmers, the latter as a researcher. He has several degrees, including engineering graduates from Lund University and Halmstad University, as well as a Tech. Licentiate and PhD in Photonics from Chalmers. In addition, he holds a master's degree in project management and marketing from Chalmers University of Technology and an MBA in Marketing from Gävle University. He is a member of the talent network 4Potentials and Nova and Mensa. Thomas was chosen as the best feedback writer at Venture Cup 2009 and this year's Mentor in Connect Skåne in 2010. In addition, he has been appointed one of Sweden's 101 super talent 2010 by Veckans Affärer.
Research Interest
His research interests lie in Healthcare and Medical Sciences. He is the Editor-in-Chief Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
