Biography
Mr. Shailendra Roy is a Wholeâ€Time Director and is responsible for business operations of Larsen & Toubro in Power (coal and gasâ€based), Heavy Engineering and Nuclear sectors. Mr. Roy is also the Chairman of L&T's joint venture companies with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems of Japan for manufacturing of supercritical / ultraâ€supercritical boilers and turbines & generators, and L&T Special Steels and Heavy Forgings which is a joint venture of L&T and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. L&T's other joint venture companies with Howden (UK) and Sargent & Lundy (USA), too draw their strength from Mr. Roy's leadership.
