Johan Moverare

Biography

Johan Moverare is a professor and head of division at the Division of Engineering Materials, Department of Management and Engineering. He is leading the research group in mechanical properties of structural materials. His research is mainly focused on the mechanical properties of metallic materials intended for load-bearing structures. The link between the materials microstructure and mechanical properties, the deformation and failure mechanisms.

Thermomechanical fatigue of high temperature materials, Mechanical properties and material modeling of engineering materials, Effects of in-service degradation on mechanical properties, Relationship between processing, microstructure and the mechanical properties of engineering materials, Superalloys  and Additive manufacturing.
