Biography
Anna Magnusson's research area is Green roofs in cold climates. Green roofs are a technology that mimics natural ecosystems. They can also be a part of the urban stormwater management since they have the ability to retain stormwater flows. Anna's research focus is to investigate the function of green roofs in cold climates with respect to runoff and snow melt, pollutant transport as well as the plant’s ability to survive in a subarctic climate. Research will further focus on improving the function of Green roofs in cold climates by identifying plants that are better adapted to the demanding ambient conditions.
