Biography
Dr. Anshuman Bhardwaj is a remote sensing specialist, trained in glacio-hydrological sciences. He has noteworthy research experience in remote sensing-based image processing and classification, field data collection, spatial and non-spatial data integration in GIS and spatial modeling, with a focus on cold-mountain ecosystems. He has developed and published automated algorithms for glacial and mountainous terrain mapping in reputed remote sensing journals. He has significant cryospheric fieldwork experience in Indian as well as Nepalese Himalaya and is well versed with the geomorphological landforms and their variable distribution. He has been a member of several reputed national and international glaciological and glacio-hydrological trainings and field expeditions. Anshuman is well acquainted with prominent remote sensing Digital Image Processing (DIP) software, GIS software, snow and glacial hydrology and geomorphology-based models to understand and estimate quantitative dynamics of the cryosphere.
