Biography
I’m a architect and planner using urban design as a research method for design and development. While often working as a key member of a larger team, I have engaged with a wide variety of individuals, community groups and agencies. I have been continuously involved in teaching, research and publication and I draw upon my practical experience when developing and delivering innovative teaching and learning approaches. Thus my experience combines contemporary practice in urbanism including social learning and engagement, together with pedagogy, research and academic development. The results of this approach has been illustrated in Explorations in Urban Design (UCL), which feature two of the mega urban design projects I have engaged in in Hong Kong and Karbala, Iraq.
