Biography
In my current project I am studying water droplets freezing on cold surfaces using a CFD-model. To my aid I have used the two software ANSYS FLUENT and ANSYS CFX. The applications for this type of project are found for example in the development of the rotor blades of a wind turbine, the development of the wings and propellers of an airplane and the development of safer roads for cars. For all of these areas, freezing rain is a problem that can give rise to unwanted icing. This kind of research can be seen as a first step to a better understanding of these kinds of problems. More specifically, I am studying the inner movement in the water as the droplet freezes and also the freezing time for the droplet as it is subjected to different outer conditions.
