Biography
I work in Wood Physics research topic that includes the study of wood materials physical properties, moisture, mechanical and moisture flow studies with a focus on drying and heat treatment of wood. The research that is relevant right now is mainly about natural durability (rot and mold) and wood drying, On 14 December 2005 I presented my dissertation "Properties of Solid Wood: Responses to Drying and Heat Treatment". On 11 November 2008, I defended my PhD thesis "Impact of Drying and Heat Treatment on Physical Properties and Durability of Solid Wood" In January 2010 our department hosted a conference in Skellefteå in Wood Drying: 11th International IUFRO Wood Drying Conference. The very first conference in the series was also held in Skellefteå 1987.
