Biography
Anders Björklund works as Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at Lund University, Sweden. Anders has extended his valuable service as a researcher in Neurosciences for several years and has been a recipient of many award and grants. Anders research interests as a Scientist reflect in wide range of publications in various national and international reputed journals. His research has been concerned with reparative and neuroprotective mechanisms in the CNS using cell replacement and gene transfer techniques. His group was early in the study of neural tissue transplants, and in the 1970ies we pioneered the development of methods for cell transplantation to the mammalian brain and spinal cord.
