Jeanette Åkerström Kördel is involved in working on developing new treatments for type 1diabetes. The studies include experimental studies in laboratory environments as well as clinical trials where we try to prevent loss of insulin-producing cells in the onset of diabetes, new insulin-producing cells and replacing lost cells with new transplantation.
