Biography
Astrid Persson works as a Scientific Project Manager at Medibiome. She holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology with a focus on biomaterials and tissue engineering. In her master thesis she developed an in vitro model to study the interaction between pathogenic bacteria and different wound care products. Astrid has previously worked at Mölnlycke Health Care AB, Institute of Biomaterials and Cell Therapy, and Dentsply, where she supported the development of medical devices, for example in wound care and urology products. She also contributed to the development of in vitro methods to study infection and inflammation in soft tissues.
Research Interest
Her research interests lie in Healthcare and Medical Sciences. She is the Editor-in-Chief Member of many peer reviewed journals and her area of expertise credits her with many publications in national and international journals. She is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through her authorship of many books.
