Biography
Jim Engström works as a Scientist at Medibiome AB. He holds a Master of Science in Biology from Gothenburg University, resulting in the thesis: “GABAergic regulation of cardiorespiratory function in the shorthorn sculpin, Myoxocephalus scorpius”. He has a background in stem cell research with experience from medium development, differentiation of human embryonic stem cells in 2D and 3D cell culture systems, cell production, and process development. In addition he has experience from working in GMP-classified clean rooms and Quality Assurance. From 2007 to 2016 he worked at Vitrolife AB, Cellartis/Cellectis AB in Sweden and Novo Nordisk A/S in Denmark. In addition, Jim has experiences in teaching which brings value when communicating scientific results.
Research Interest
His research interests lie in Healthcare and Medical Sciences. He is the Editor-in-Chief Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books. .
