Biography
Ola has an MD and Ph.D. from University of Gothenburg and is a specialist in Internal Medicine and was appointed Associate Professor of Medicine at the same university. After a long career in academic medicine Ola joined the pharmaceutical industry. He then worked at Hoechst-Roussel, Kabi-Pharmacia and Pharmacia Upjohn in different senior R&D positions. The last 10 years Ola has worked for AstraZeneca first as site head of clinical and Global Director of Drug Safety and then as Vice President and Head of the Gastrointestinal Therapy Area and Vice President Gastrointestinal Scientific Affairs up to his retirement from AZ. Ola is now working as an independent consultant mainly for the pharma industry and is a board member of several R&D related institutions.
Research Interest
His research interests lie in Healthcare and Medical Sciences. He is the Editor-in-Chief Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
