Biography
Dr. Carlos A. Castro is a board-certified prosthodontist and oral implantologist. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, he completed double dental training at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and New York University College of Dentistry where he also obtained a certificate in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics. He completed his training with a two-year surgical fellowship at Columbia University, mentored by Dr. Dennis Tarnow. He was the recipient of the Dr. Harold Litvak Fellowship Award and The Kenneth Adisman Award. Dr. Castro is clinical assistant professor at the postgraduate prosthodontics program of Columbia University and guest lecturer at the College of Dentistry at New York University. He maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics, implant and reconstructive dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a member of the International College of Oral Implantologists and the American Dental Association. His academic and research interests include biomaterials and innovation in implant prosthodontics.
