Biography

Studied dentistry in Basel, state exams 1998. Doctorate to Dr. med. dent. 2001. Continuing education in oral surgery and stomatology in Basel and Berne (1998-1999, Prof. Dr. Dr. J. Th. Lambrecht, 2000, Prof. Dr. D. Buser). Since autumn 2002, he has been a senior assistant at the Clinic for Oral Surgery and Stomatology at the University of Berne and Director of the Stomatology Consultation. In June 2003 obtained the specialist dental dentistry for oral surgery. In 2004 Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, USA. Since September 2004 lecturer for "Stomatology" at the University of Bern. Since August 2007 head of the Department of Dental Radiology and Stomatology of the Department of Oral Surgery and Stomatology of the University of Bern. October 2009 Habilitation in the field of "Oral Surgery and Stomatology". Since January 2013 guest professor at the Oral Imaging Center, Department of Oral Health Sciences, KU Leuven, Belgium. Since April 2014 associate professor at the University of Bern.
