Biography
Specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery Dr. Steve Bernier received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Université Laval in 1993. He then continued with a year of multidisciplinary residency (1993-94) and a Fellowship year (1994-95) at the Jewish General Hospital for McGill University. During this stay he also obtained his certification in intravenous sedation-analgesia and nitrous oxide. From 1995 to 2000, he completed his specialization in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Laval University. He has a diversified full-time hospital practice at Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis. For 14 years he served as an Oral Surgeon in the Îles de la Madeleine. From 2000 to 2010 he taught the theoretical and clinical aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the undergraduate and graduate level at Université Laval and at the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis.
