Mr. James Alstine Van

Biography

James Van Alstine holds a B. Sc. in Biochemistry and a Ph. D. in Pathology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He had a long academic career as a professor in the United States (Biomaterials, University of Alabama System – NSF and NASA funding) and Sweden (Biotechnology, Royal Inst. of Technology – VR funding) before joining General Electric Healthcare (GEHC) in 2000. Over the next 14 years with GEHC he undertook a number of duties including Academic Alliance Coordination, Project Management, and New Technology Innovation.
