Biography
Dr. Margit Alt Murphy certified specialist physical therapist with 15 years of clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation and presently working at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital. She is currently working on a 3D kinematic analysis of a daily activity has been evaluated and the most sensitive and clinically relevant kinematic movement performance parameters have been identified for stroke population (Alt Murphy et. al 2006, 2011). Same protocol is currently used in SALGOT-study (Stroke Arm Longitudinal Study at University of Gothenburg) (Alt-Murphy et.al 2011). I am also involved in work with development and testing of different evaluation instruments for use in Sweden. The latest scientific presentations were hold at ISPRM 2009,Istanbul; WCPT 2011, Amterdam and soon coming WCNR 2012, Melbourne. I have been reviewer for the Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine, Neurorehabilitation and Engineering, Rehabilitation Research and Practice.
Research Interest
Dr. Margit Alt Murphy, research is the development of objective and quantitative methods for assessment of upper extremity function after stroke.
