Biography
Erik has a strong technical understanding and a talent for enabling international business. Erik has a 20 year background in equipment, materials and manufacturing in the solar and semiconductor industry. For most of his professional career he has been living and working internationally, focusing on bringing enabling technologies to market. Erik started his business career at Ultratech (UTEK) running its Asian operations out of Tokyo. After moving to Silicon Valley, he held numerous positions at Ultratech becoming its SVP of Sales and Marketing. Since then he has held senior executive positions at both public and private companies with a focus on operations, sales and marketing. Erik’s recent positions have included head of Flextronics’ $400M Solar and Semi Division (Flex), CEO and founder of Alta-Energy, Inc. which provides analytical and deployment services to commercial companies deploying solar and COO of Alchimer, SA a company focused on using a wet process for atomic layer material growth. Erik has a BA in International Relations with minor studies in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
