Biography
Lena Eriksson is Phil. In history, her research focuses on the social aspects of the Swedish welfare state. Earlier research has focused on unemployment policies, marginalization on the housing market and the exclusion of Roma. The red thread through the various research projects has been the analysis of how society relates to those who do not live up to the norm by being a "good citizen" and what consequences different approaches have for individuals and society. Currently she is part of a project aimed at studying the political discussions and bureaucratic management of drug addiction in Sweden in the years 2000-2015. The focus is on the problem description, knowledge base and governance of drug trafficking and drug addiction.
