Biography
On January 20th 2012 i defended my doctoral thesis in organic chemistry in the group of Professor Jan-Erling Bäckvall and Professor Björn Åkermark as assistant supervisor at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Stockholm University, Sweden. During my PhD I worked on several different projects, mainly in the area of catalytic oxidations (Jan-Erling Bäckvall) and artificial photosynthesis (Björn Åkermark). Our research seeks to expand the scope of chemical tools available to produce synthetic macromolecules such as proteins, glycopeptides, sequence and length-controlled polymers. We intend to expand the field beyond its current capabilities, with the ultimate goal of addressing problems significant to human health.
