Dr. Walter Trösch

Biography

 Past his studies Prof. Dr. Trösch worked as Research Assistant at the field of theoretical medicine and at Institute of Genetics at the Universität des Saarlandes, Germany, from which he also obtained his PhD in 1976. Thereafter he took action at the Fraunhofer Institute of Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (IGB) were he initially worked as Research Assistant and in 1985 accepted the Management of the department Environmental Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering (UBT). 1992, he habilitated in the field of biotechnology and since 1997 Mr. Trösch is adjunct professor at the University of Hohenheim, Germany. Concurrently, he became the Representative Head of the IGB and obtained a couple of innovation awards. In 2000, Subitec GmbH was founded by Prof. Dr. Trösch and other members of the IGB. Mr. Trösch has been Managing Partner of the company for 5 years.
