Deslarzes Jean-christophe

Biography

 Deslarzes  Jean has been the Chief Human Resources Officer at ABB Ltd since November 15, 2013. Mr. Deslarzes served as the Chief Human Resources & Organization Officer and Member of Executive Board at Carrefour SA from July 1, 2010 to 2013. From 1994 to 2010, Mr. Deslarzes worked at Rio Tinto Alcan and its predecessors Alcan Inc. and Alusuisse, in a variety of human resources and management roles in Europe and Canada. He served as a Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Rio Tinto Alcan, Inc. since March 1, 2006. He served as a Vice President of Human Resources and Environment, Health and Safety at Alcan Packaging from 2001 to 2006. He began his career in 1991 as a Tax and Legal Consultant at Arthur Andersen in Geneva. From 1991 to 1994, he was a Tax Lawyer at Geneva, Switzerland. From 1994 to 2007, he held different positions within Alcan Group: Vice President of Human Resources & Environment, Health and Safety at Aluminium Fabrication Europe, then Rolled Products Europe and finally Alcan Packaging. He served as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Alcan Aluminium Valais from 1994 to 2001. He served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Alcan Inc. from 2006 to 2008. After Alcan Inc.'s acquisition by Rio Tinto, Mr. Deslarzes served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Rio Tinto's Downstream Aluminium Businesses from 2008 to 2010. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Co-Leader of integration of Rio Tinto and Alcan, Montreal, Canada. Mr. Deslarzes has been a Director of Adecco Group AG since April 21, 2015. Mr. Deslarzes holds a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) in 1990.
