Biography

Grunewal    has been Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior Vice President of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since July 1, 2016 and its Head of Sustainability & Public Affairs since June 14, 2017. Ms. Weidman-Grunewald served as Head of Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since July 1, 2016 until June 15, 2017. She joined Ericsson in 1998 and has been a member of the Global Leadership Team from 2014. She served as Head of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility and Vice President at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since May 7, 2014. She has previously held positions in product management, marketing and sales in the US and Sweden. Ms. Weidman-Grunewald served as Head of Ericsson Response at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) until July 6, 2016. She served as Vice President of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility at Ericsson. She led Ericsson in advocating the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in addressing global sustainability challenges in areas such as poverty, development, climate change and human rights, as well as driving responsible business practices. She was responsible for a number of public private partnerships which explore the use of Ericsson technology and expertise to address challenges like the Millennium Development Goals, such as the global education initiative Connect To Learn at a global scale. She led Ericsson Response. Prior to joining Ericsson, she worked in international sales, business development and environmental certification. Ms. Weidman-Grunewald serves on the Board of Millennium Promise. She has been a Director of Sweco AB (publ) since May 9, 2017. She is also on the Board of the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI.org). She represents Ericsson in many external fora, including the Broadband Commission for Digital Development and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. She is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Advanced Development for Africa (ADA) Foundation. She holds a Double Master’s degree in Resource and Environmental Management and International Relations, with a focus on Latin American development, from Boston University Center for Energy and Environmental Studies in the US
