Biography
I graduated top of my year in 2009 from the University of Leeds, UK, with a first class B.Sc. honours degree in Biochemistry with Medical Biochemistry. I went on to do a Ph.D. in the Donnelly group in the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Leeds, UK, where I studied the activation of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor using a small library of small molecules, employing a high-throughput screening technique which used FRET (called LANCE). I graduated from my Ph.D. in August 2014 and began my postdoctoral position with Prof Philippou at the LICAMM, University of Leeds, UK in July 2014. I am interested in characterising protein-protein interactions between members of the coagulation cascade with a view to inhibiting specific interactions for therapeutic purposes
