Jonas Bergstedt

Biography

Jonas Bergstedt was born on 1981. He was invited to an inspiration weekend with Young Diabetes and it was the starting shot. I was given the opportunity to work with issues that felt relevant to me and I could help and influence the situation of young people with diabetes in Sweden. Since then I have done another round in Young Diabetes, and a number of years in both local and county associations.

Research Interest

Jonas Bergstedt main interest and competencies lie mainly in communication and development. He is very interested in new technical innovations and platforms to acquire and exchange information, knowledge and experience. This is an area where there are a lot of things happening right now and we are following developments with excitement. For him, the Diabetes Association has an obvious role as a language pipe for everyone with diabetes, both domestic and as part of international work. Therefore, it is important that we become more members so that we strengthen our position and thus also our ability to influence. An overall goal should be to create a more personalized, accessible and equal medical care.
