Biography
Per Hamberg is a orthopaedic specialist, practices at the Sophiahemmet Orthopaedic Centre and Stockholm’s Södersjukhuset (Sweden). Per Hamberg is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and has for many years been a Senior Physician at Södersjukhuset, where he has overseen the hospital's knee and hip replacement department. He has extensive experience in treating and operating on most types of knee injuries/diseases, as well as hip replacement surgeries and the treatment of sports injuries. Per’s thesis dealt with arthroscopic surgery on meniscal injuries; he received his PhD in 1983. Per Hamberg has been active in providing arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery for many years.
