Biography
Dr. Barnhart is a 2017 Seattle Met Top Doctor Award winner. Philosophy of care: Every patient and their family are unique and it is a privilege to care for them. He completed his education from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Residency from Medical College of Virginia & National Institute of Health and Fellowship from Medical College of Virginia & The Childrens Hospital (Boston). He is a member of Professional Associations like Humera Society, International Society for Heart Transplantation, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, The Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Fellow, American College of Surgeons, Virginia Surgical Society.

His areas of interests are aneurysm, anomalies of pulmonary circulation, anomalous coronary artery, anomalous pulmonary artery, aortic arch aneurysm, aortic arch graft, aortic root replacement, aortic sclerosis, aortic stenosis and aortic valve surgery.
