Biography
Dr. Holland serves as Providence's Chief of Neurosurgery and believes the best neurosurgeons are not only technically and clinically gifted, but are also skilled at guiding patients through the uncertainties of neurological disease. As an Officer for the United States Navy, he served as Staff Neurosurgeon at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, specializing in brain trauma and skull based surgery. Dr. Holland also has many years of experience in brain and spine tumors and vascular/stroke from his positions at the University of California San Francisco, Palo Alto Medical Foundation in CA, and Trinity Mother Frances Health System in TX. he completed his education Medical School from University of Michigan in 1988, Residency in Neurosurgery from UCLA Medical Center in 1995 and Fellowship in Cerebrovascular/Skull Base Surgery from Barrow Neurological Institute in 1996. He is also certified Board member of American Board of Neurological Surgery, Surgery, Neurological and American Board of Neurological Surgery, Neurological Surgery.
Research Interest
His research areas of interests are abnormal vertebrae and accessory nerve disease.
