Biography
Inger Åhman is a Professor of Department of Plant Breeding in Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.He did PhD and Docent in Plant pathology. He has 18 years in plant breeding industry.
Research Interest
Pre-breeding for pest and disease resistance in agricultural crops like barley, wheat, oilseed rape and salix, using modern breeding techniques; Plant breeding for improved disease resistance in cereals; Molecular markers applied in resistance breeding; Site-directed mutagenesis of susceptibility genes for disease and aphid resistance in several crops.
