Sun Sun

Biography

Sun Sun is involved in health economic projects, and leading patient-reported outcomes activities at Synergus. She is also currently affiliated to the Health outcomes and Economic Evaluation Research Group at Karolinska Institutet (from July 2014). Previously, Sun Sun has served as health economist at Stockholm County Coucil (2006-2014, 8 years), where she gain extensive knowledge in health-related quality of life, and broad expertise in application of epidemiological and health economics methods in the context of Swedish health care system. Mean while, Sun Sun was also affiliated to both the Health Economics Research Group at Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics and Equity and Health Policy Research Group at Department of Public Health, at Karolinska Instituet. Sun Sun has PhD in Health Economics, her PhD project is based on a cooperation between Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, Nanjing Medical University and Minsitry of Health in China. In the research project, more than 120 000 face-to-face interviews were carried out, on a representative sample of the Chinese general population. The population norm for EQ-5D in China was established, and a value set for EQ-5D health states was tested. As one of the project initiator, Sun Sun was involved in the projects in different aspects at all stages, including study design, project managment, field work, data analysis and other scientific works. Sun Sun has been a EuroQol member since 2008 (Scientific body for the EQ-5D instrument) and a member to the Swedish Health Economics Association since 2010. She has advance knowledge in health related-quality of life and health outcomes research. She is also skilled in data management, data analysis, planning and conducting health economics-related studies

Research Interest

Her research interests lie in Healthcare and Medical Sciences. She is the Editor-in-Chief Member of many peer reviewed journals and her area of expertise credits her with many publications in national and international journals. She is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through her authorship of many books.
