Biography
Sten Nordell, Transmode's Chief Technology Officer, was formerly Chief Convergence Officer and also VP Networks & Platform Strategy at mobile operator Telenor Group, and served as CTO of both Utfors AB (the first carrier in the world to deploy IP/MPLS directly over WDM) and Bay Networks' Internet and Telecom Division in EMEA. Sten also has experience as a Director of Business and Technology Strategy EMEA for Nortel. Being one of the few people in the industry to have senior level experience both in building networks from the operator's perspective and in designing systems as a vendor to meet operator needs, Sten has been in demand and recognised for his presentations at numerous consortia, conferences and shows.
