Biography
Currently working in Umea University, Sweden. Doctoral degree 1982, Associate professor and general practitioner in Clinical Chemistry 1991, Associate Professor of Biomedicine (Örebro) 2001, Professor and Chief Physician of Clinical Chemistry at Umeå University 2013.
Research Interest
Clinical chemistry, Studies of genetic variation in genes in single-cell metabolism such as CHDH, COMT, CTH, MTHFR and in folate transport genes such as FOLR1, RFC1, PCFT. Their importance for clinical phenotypes such as cognitive and emotional functions and blood and cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers such as homocysteine, folate, cobalamin, etc.
