Biography
Shuo Wang joined the Biophysics group at Takeda California as a Staff Scientist in July 2014 and focuses on biophysical studies for small molecule and antibody therapeutics in a variety of disease areas. Before working at Takeda, Shuo pursued her Ph.D. degree in Biophysical Chemistry under the direction of Dr. W. David Wilson at Georgia State University from 2009-2014. During her Ph.D. program, Shuo investigated a range of designed small molecules that interacted with different sequences and structures of DNA and which showed excellent therapeutic activities by forming complexes in the DNA minor groove. She was also interested in modulating DNA-transcription factor interactions with minor groove binders.
