Biography

Subject area: Caring Science Focus: Intensive care at home, patients' experiences of staying at home and being dependent on technology Current research: Leads, together with Professor Ingegerd Bergbom at GU, the programme “Evidence-based design in high-tech care environments - a future challenge.” The programme is an interdisciplinary collaboration with several other universities, companies and the intensive care Southern Älvsborg Hospital (SÄS), Borås. Leads the programme “Life situations of people (children, adolescents and adults) with long-term ventilator treatment”. This programme is also an interdisciplinary cooperative project with other universities, companies and clinics. One such example is the publication of the handbook Breathe at home, a joint project between the University of Borås and the Respiratory Resource Team at SÄS Borås. A member of the Nordic research network in intensive care (NOFI) as well as Vice Chairwoman; member of the Nordic College of Caring Science (NCCS); member of the European Federation for Critical Care Nursing's (EfCCNA-IT) research network; member of the European Academy for Nursing Science (EANS). The programme "Evidence-based design" received funds from Swedish Research Council for four years starting in 2014.
