Biography
Sándor Darányi has been working at the University of Borås since 2003. His areas of research are advanced access to digital libraries, including automatic indexing, automatic classification, information retrieval and information visualization; digital preservation; narrative genomics for the study of intangible cultural heritage (e.g. mythologies and tales); quantum interaction; and evolving semantics. He has been involved in several national and international research projects, with publications on e.g. the integration of simulations in formal models of digital libraries; physics as a metaphor to model language change; and formalization of folk narratives for the extraction of test collections from unstructured big data. He is on the editorial board of Journal of Information Science
