Clare Allely

Biography

Clare Allely is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Salford in Manchester, England. Clare holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Manchester and has previously graduated with an MA (hons.) in Psychology from the University of Glasgow, an MRes in Psychological Research Methods from the University of Strathclyde and an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University. Between June 2011 and June 2014, Clare worked at the University of Glasgow in Scotland as a postdoctoral researcher. Clare is also an Honorary Research Fellow in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences affiliated to the Institute of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow. Recent projects include a systematic review exploring pain in individuals with autism spectrum disorder; one exploring neurobiological abnormalities in the first few years of life in individuals later diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and another investigating the neurodevelopmental profile of serial killers which was published in the journal of Aggression and Violent Behavior. Current research projects and interests include autism spectrum disorders in the criminal justice system and research exploring brain injury or neurodevelopmental disorders in forensic populations. Clare is also currently working on some book chapters including one looking at the neurobiology of brain injury in relation to single and multiple homicide.
