Biography
Ali Kazemi is a Professor of Social Psychology at the School of Health and Education, University of Skövde in Sweden. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Göteborg University. His doctoral dissertation on fairness in social dilemmas received the 'Best 2007 Dissertation Award' for its theoretical novelty and methodological stringency. Professor Kazemi has been the incumbent of several academic positions at the Universities of Skövde, Göteborg, and Jönköping, as well as at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute. He has conducted and published basic and applied research in several fields in social psychology, including distributive and procedural justice, decision making in social dilemmas, attitude and behavior change, leadership/management, social well-being, mindfulness and quality in elderly care services. He serves as ad hoc reviewer for several academic journals and is the Editor-in-Chief for Social Justice Research published by Springer. Professor Kazemi has also been engaged in hosting and organizing several scholarly conferences. He has authored and co-edited four books, the most recent with Kjell Törnblom – Handbook of Social Resource Theory – which focuses on developments and applications of resource theory of social exchange.
