Biography
Jörgen Hansson, Doctor of Computer Science, Linköping University 1999. Jörgen started as a lecturer at Linköping University in 2000 and was promoted to Professor 2005 and Professor 2008. Between 2001 and 2005, Jörgen, together with Professor Erik Sandewall, led the national research school in computer science (CUGS) with Lund, Mälardalen, Skövde, Växjö and Örebro as partner campuses. During these years he was also chairman of the board of higher education engineers. In 2005, Jörgen began at the Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, USA, as a senior researcher among technical staff. In his role, he led the Performance-Critical Systems initiative and assembled the Architecture-Centric Engineering initiative. In 2010 he started at Chalmers University of Technology as a professor in software engineering. In this role he led the newly formed department of Software Engineering, a collaboration between Gothenburg University and Chalmers University of Technology. He was also responsible for the launch of the Software Center, an industry-driven consortium and research center. At the end of 2013, Jörgen was recruited to the University of Skövde.
