Biography
Asma Ahmad, M.D., is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and attended medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Louisville Hospitals, an accelerated fellowship in Mammography at the University of Louisville James Brown Cancer Center, and a fellowship in Body Imaging at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Ahmad joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2009 as Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology and Radiological Sciences. She is heavily involved with the education of radiology residents and fellows, as well as residents from multiple other specialties, including directing hands-on workshops for ultrasound and procedural skills. She is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Abdominal Imaging and the American Association of Women Radiologists.
