Biography
Dr. Hwang earned a BS in Chemistry from Emory University and received his MD from Harvard Medical School. He trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Neurology and Neurocritical Care. His clinical and research interests include (1) optimizing decision-making by families of patients in intensive care units, (2) prognosticating and improving the long-term outcomes of neurointensive care unit patients and their families, (3) integrating end-of-life care in intensive care units, and (4) managing acute stroke.
