Mr. Walter Fischli

Biography

Mr. Walter Fischli serves as the President at Altos Venture AG. Mr. Fischli founded Actelion Ltd. and served as its Senior Vice President of Academic Relations at Actelion Ltd., since July 2009. He served as a Member of the Management Board of Actelion Ltd. He serves as a Leader of Drug Discovery Projects at F. Hoffmann-La Roche, including development of new screening systems. He has 15 years of experience in drug discovery at F. Hoffmann-La Roche. He served as Senior Vice President and Head of Drug Discovery Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from 1997 to June 2009. He Co-Founded Actelion, including establishment of new Discovery units. He is a Biochemist educated at the Swiss Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich with further training in molecular biology and organic chemistry. He completed Research Fellowship at the Addiction Research Foundation, Stanford University.
