Biography
Kim Simonsen graduated as an MD from Copenhagen University in 1982. After 5 years of clinical training he took his first assignment in the pharmaceutical industry. He has extensive experience within clinical development across a number of therapeutic areas and has been involved in bringing several products to the market. He also has been heading project management functions as well as preclinical, manufacturing and quality activities. He worked both in bigger pharmaceutical companies like Sandoz, Novo Nordisk and Novartis as well as in smaller organizations. He was the CEO of a Nordic CRO for 5 years. Before joining Anergis he was Chief Operation Officer of the Belgian biotech company Ablynx. He has clinical training in pulmonary diseases and development experience in asthma and allergy from Sandoz, Novartis and ALK-Abello where he was Vice-President of Global Clinical Development.
