André J. Mueller

Biography

 André J. Mueller, (1944, Swiss), private investor and business consultant, has been involved in the financing, management and supervision of development stage biotech enterprises over three decades. He was the initial CFO of Biogen NV through the Company’s IPO, Following this, he became a founding partner of Euroventures-Genevest SA, a pioneering VC organisation in Switzerland. Subsequently, he was member of the founding team, CFO, and then chair of the audit committee and vice-chairman of Actelion Ltd. Past biotech board involvements include Axovan, Arpida, Cerenis Therapeutics as well as others. He also was a Director of Synthes Inc., until this company’s acquisition by Johnnson and Johnson. Mr.Mueller is Chairman of Addex Therapeutics, and a member of the Board of Sensimed SA. His earlier career includes positions with CIBA and SANDOZ. He has an MBA form INSEAD, a licentiate in microeconomics from Geneva University and a laureate in Chemical Engineering from Geneva Technical College.
