Biography
Mr. Patrick Machado has served as a member of the Board of Axovant Sciences of since June 2017. Previously, he was a co-founder of Medivation, Inc., and served as its Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2014, as well as its Chief Business Officer from 2009 to 2014. He also served as a director of Medivation from April 2014 until its acquisition by Pfizer Inc. in September 2016. From 1998 until 2001, he worked with ProDuct Health, Inc., a privately held medical device company, as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and earlier as General Counsel. He served as a consultant to Cytyc Corporation from 2001 until 2002 to assist with transitional matters related to Cytyc Corporation’s acquisition of ProDuct Health, Inc. Earlier in his career, he worked for Morrison & Foerster LLP, an international law firm, and for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He graduated from Santa Clara University summa cum laude with a BA in German and a BS in Economics, and received his JD from Harvard Law School.
