Barry Stern

Biography

 Barry has responsibility for the creation of DDI’s multi-level development solutions across the globe and currently serves as a member of DDI’s Operating Committee. In his previous role as head of U.S. Consulting Services operations, he oversaw the delivery of DDI’s full range of services, encompassing both the diagnostic and development components of DDI’s offerings. Over his almost 30-year career, Barry has worked with numerous leaders—from frontline to “C-suite”—to install or augment HR initiatives designed to power their businesses. He also has served as an executive coach for mid- to senior-level executives. Before joining DDI, Barry held a variety of senior executive positions, including managing director at Siebel Systems (now part of Oracle), where he had sales, consulting, and product leadership responsibilities. Barry also served as executive vice president and senior partner at MOHR Development, which specialized in consulting and training with high-performance sales and service organizations. A classically trained behavioral psychologist, Barry has presented at numerous conferences on topics such as “Technology Enabled Leadership,” “Creating Business-Based User Adoption,” and “Short-Cycle Sales Leadership.” His article, “Build Your Business Acumen” appeared in T+D magazine. He is also an occasional blogger for DDI’s Talent Management Intelligence blog.
