From May 2003 to July 2006, Patrick Jenny was SNSF Professor for Computational Fluid Dynamics at the Institute of Fluid Dynamics of the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at ETH Zurich. On August 1, 2006, he was appointed Associate Professor of Computational Computational Fluid Dynamics and Multiscale Modeling
