Biography
Wilhelm Krek is currently working as professor, Department of Biology of ETH Zurich.
Research Interest
The Krek Laboratory focuses on the biology of hypoxia signalling in malignant and metabolic disorders and the discovery of genes and small molecule agents interfering with signalling pathway addictions in tumor subtypes. The Laboratory uses a wide range of molecular and cellular approaches, models disease states in mice and employs diverse screening modalities to elucidate molecular mechanisms of disease and to lay the foundation for novel anticancer strategies.
